St. Hilary of Poitiers

Bishop and Doctor of the Church (Optional Memorial)

Feast: 13 January

Born at Poitiers, at the beginning of the fourth century, and became bishop of that city in 350. He was a very active opponent of the Arian heresy, and was exiled for four years by Emperor Constantine for this reason. During his exile he wrote his Treatise on the Trinity, and many other works.
